Intro

CreditCardProcessing.com is a credit card processing company authorized to resell processing and POS solutions to small and medium businesses, particularly high-risk businesses. • Same-day merchant funding

Cons

  • 20+ years industry experience
  • Pricing isn’t all that transparent
  • Only suited to high-risk merchants

Terminals

While CreditCardProcessing.com claims to offer a range of EMV-compliant processing terminals, it doesn’t provide much information about which terminals. The only terminal that gets a mention on its website is the PAX 580, which is popular with retailers and restaurants. The reality is that like most credit card processing resellers, CreditCardProcessing.com likely has a wide range of terminals to choose from. For an additional fee, CreditCardProcessing.com can also set up an Authorize.net online payment gateway for your business.

POS solutions

CreditCardProcessing.com is an authorized seller of the highly popular Clover point-of-sale software and devices. Clover’s POS software replaces your cash register, credit card swiper, payment terminal, receipts printer, and barcode scanner with an integrated suite of products.

CreditCardProcessing.com offers the Clover Mini free of charge, provided you meet certain requirements. All up, it offers the following Clover devices:

  • Clover Station: An all-in-one POS system that replaces the traditional cash register and drawer.
  • Clover Mini: A tablet-sized touch screen with signature capture, front-facing camera, and integrated thermal printer.
  • Clover Flex: Countertop and handheld device with a battery that lasts a full day of business without needing to be recharged.
  • Clover Go: Smartphone-sized device that does virtually everything the other Clover devices do – with the added benefit that you can use it anywhere you have a Wi-Fi or cell connection.

Merchant services

As you’d expect of a company called CreditCardProcessing.com, this CCP provider is stronger on credit card processing and weaker on merchant services. With that said, it does offer some useful merchant services, including:

  • Express merchant cash advance with same-day funding.
  • Digital loyalty programs to help increase your retention rates and grow customer satisfaction (with no need for POS integration)
  • Analytics software to help you track things like sales and employee performance.

Pricing

CreditCardProcessing.com says it offers extremely competitive rates. While it doesn’t advertise rates and fees, we do like the fact the fact it offers a lowest-price guarantee. According to CreditCardProcessing.com, it will give a $50 AMEX gift card to anyone who can show that another company provides a better overall rate structure.

Like most of its competitors, CreditCardProcessing.com charges an interchange fee (fixed by the credit/debit card provider) plus its own percentage and flat fee on top of that. This can work out to 1-5% per transaction, although on average it ends up closer to 5%.

Applying and contracts

CreditCardProcessing.com claims not to lock people into contracts or charge any cancellation fees, although judging by some of the customer reviews this isn’t entirely accurate. From what we can gather, the contract situation depends entirely on your individual agreement with CreditCardProcessing.com. In some cases, CreditCardProcessing.com has been known to charge for early return of EMV equipment – in other words, a cancellation fee.

About CreditCardProcessing.com

Founded in 1998, CreditCardProcessing.com was acquired by iPayment in 2013 but continues to operate as an independent business division. It is an authorized reseller of Clover and First Data solutions. As for making transactions happen, it is a registered ISO of Woodforest National Bank in Texas, and of Compass Bank in Alabama.

Customer Support

The jury’s out on the company’s customer service, with a mix of positive and negative reviews. It appears many customers are satisfied with the rates and fees, while others complain about hidden fees and contracts.

Summary

Like other companies in the iPayment stable, CreditCardProcessing.com offers a solid CCP service without doing anything in particular to stand out. Like other authorized resellers of processing and POS solutions, it specializes in helping high-risk merchants get approved. What’s more, it throws in a few incentives – such as free equipment and setup – to get you started.
